The Reading Specialist is responsible for improving and supporting literacy instruction and intervention for students. This role involves working directly with students, teachers, and administrators to enhance reading skills, implement reading programs, and monitor student progress. The Reading Specialist also provides professional development and support for classroom teachers in best practices for reading instruction.
Public Review of Curriculums
The textbook adoption committees at both schools have reviewed several Mathematics curriculums for grades K-12. Samples of the curriculums for grades 6-12 will be available for public review at the high school while K-5 curriculums will be available at the elementary school from April 30th-May 9th. Community members may review the curriculums during school hours. Please reach out to Karen Ellis at 540-227-0023 if you would like to schedule a time to review these materials.
