Textbook Curriculum Review---The textbook adoption committee has reviewed several English Language Arts curriculums for grades K-5. Two curriculums, Into Reading by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Bookworms by Open Access have been recommended by the committee for further review by staff, parents, and community members. Both curriculums will be displayed in the RCES library from February 22-February 29 for the public’s review. Community members may review the curriculums from Monday-Friday from 8:30am-9:30am or 2:00pm-3:00pm  with no appointment. Please check in at the main office upon arrival. Please call the elementary school to schedule an appointment for other times during the school day. The curriculum will also be available for review in the library during Family Engagement night on February 28, 2024 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Internet Safety- The Internet Crimes Against Children (iCAC) Task Force has put together helpful resources to raise awareness of internet safety issues involving children.  To view S.M.A.R.T. parenting tips for online safety and resources, CLICK HERE.  Stay tuned—RCPS is in the process of putting together a new comprehensive digital literacy program, which incorporates family engagement and helps caregivers and staff assist students in navigating the internet safely.
